Brief

This is a full-length visual editorial project based on Xiaomi’s explosive multi-category product launch. Using a “vintage newspaper collage” style, the piece dissects CEO Lei Jun’s strategic persona in product positioning. The visual design combines retro textures, layered headlines, and high-density layout to echo the energy and contradiction of Xiaomi’s branding logic—chaotic on the surface, razor-focused in essence.


Creative Concept

  • The layout is built around a newspaper-style three-column pacing that mirrors Lei Jun’s public tone: passionate in messaging, structured in logic

  • Sections are divided using bold tagline headers: “Brand Association,” “User Identity,” and “Scene-based Expansion”

  • Visuals feature vintage industrial textures, high-contrast monochrome cutouts, and tabloid-style captioning to heighten narrative tension

  • Layout optimizes scannability and editorial rhythm to help anchor readers through a dense long-form WeChat article
